New Principal of Boswell High School Announced
Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD is pleased to announce that Vaughn Flagler has been named the next principal of Boswell High School.
Flagler is already an integral part of the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø family, serving successfully as principal at Bryson Elementary School for the past three years and participating in key leadership responsibilities including the recent development of the district’s Aspire 2027 strategic plan.
“Vaughn Flagler is a well-respected campus leader who excels at building relationships with students, their families and campus staff,” said Dana Barnes, ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Deputy Superintendent. “He has a history of building a safe and positive climate on campus through a culture of respect and high expectations for all members of the campus community.”
Flagler holds a master's degree in education leadership from West Texas A&M University and has served as an educator and campus leader in four districts across north and west Texas.
Flagler prioritizes building relationships and trust with all members of the campus community and focuses on supporting high-quality instruction in a safe and efficient school environment for all. An accomplished athlete who played at the collegiate level, Flagler also knows first-hand the value of extracurricular involvement for students. He is looking forward to working with the Boswell staff and community to honor the school’s strong history and traditions while building upon the standard of excellence for all students, staff and programs.
"The history and traditions of Boswell High School are well known across the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw area, and I'm excited to build upon those while ensuring we have safe and effective daily procedures that focus on excellence in instruction,” Flagler said. “Boswell High School will set the educational standard, and we will hold ourselves to that standard while developing a campus community where we are supportive of each other in our instruction, fine arts, athletics and activities.”
In his free time, Flagler enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending time with his wife, two sons, family and friends. He will begin his role at Boswell in July as the campus continues preparing for the upcoming school year.
