On Wednesday, July 31 all teachers reported back to school to get ready for the 2024-2025 school year.

It was a day filled with smiles and stories of adventures held during the summer break, along with a focus on the instructional goals for the new year.

At Eagle Mountain High School, the district’s newest school set to open on August 12, teachers got a jump on the process as they began moving into their classrooms a week earlier.

Following the school's construction, it was the first chance for staff to get an inside look at the campus and begin to personalize their classrooms.  A man puts Texas rangers ups on a shelf

“It's exciting that everything is new,” said CTE teacher Bob Eikenberry. “I don't have a whole lot to move in here just yet, so it's been a seamless process.”

EMHS’s inaugural year will include students in grades 9-11.

“I’m very excited,” said Daniel Shumate, who will be teaching math at EMHS. “I’ve been working in this district for a few years now and the campus is a lot larger than where I went to school. For now, I’m looking forward to that small school familiar feeling.”

As the school year approaches, staff are looking forward to welcoming students and the community.

That excitement from the staff is setting the tone for an exciting first year.

“I think it's going to be a great year; we’ve got a great team here and we’re really looking forward to kicking off the school year here at Eagle Mountain High School,” said Eikenberry.

We can’t wait to #ArmorUp for the first year at Eagle Mountain High School and make it a great school year across ²ÝÁñÉçÇø.
