• EMS_Logo Opened Dozier Elementary in the Fall of 2016

As our area continues to grow and more families are choosing to move into the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw community, our school district must find ways to accommodate for short-term and long-term enrollment projections. One of the ways to address growth is by building new schools, which has resulted in the addition of Elementary 15, Dozier Elementary.
In November, two community meetings were conducted and information about the proposed plan, including a Q&A from parent questions during the meeting, was posted to the district website to further communicate and address questions. After evaluating feedback from the meetings and considering growth projections for the area, revised the proposal to include Dozier Elementary as a bilingual campus rather than Parkview Elementary. This means the District will continue with three bilingual campuses on the west side (Dozier, Elkins, and Willow Creek) to help accommodate for future growth.
The attendance zone changes for Dozier Elementary were approved by the School Board on Monday, December 14, 2015. Many factors are considered in attendance zone adjustments, which is why your input during this process was invaluable. We continually appreciate your participation as we plan for the future of Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.
